How this all started

A few years ago I became an instant mom to three kids — ages four, eight, and ten. One afternoon I sent them outside to play. Five minutes later they were back at the door.

"We don't know what to do."

I'll be honest — my first thought wasn't all that deep. It was: we have a whole backyard. But the more I sat with it, the more I realized those five minutes were pointing at something bigger. The kind of unstructured, imagination-led play that had brought me so much joy as a kid wasn't happening on its own anymore. It needed a little help getting started.

So I started building that help. Stories the kids actually wanted to climb into. Activities that turned reading time into the loudest, silliest part of the day. Conversations that gave us a way to talk about big feelings without it being a Talk.

What I didn't expect was how much it would change the adults in the room too. Joy is contagious. When kids find theirs, the whole house gets lighter.

If you want more of that in your family, you're in the right place. Three doors, same destination:

What's actually inside a Fassa Tail

Every book is built on a simple idea: a great story is the doorway, but the real magic — building resilience, emotional intelligence, and family connection — happens as families step through it together.

Step 1

The Story

An adventure that pulls kids in and gives them a hero they want to help.

Step 2

Plot Twists

The story pauses — kids physically jump in to help the character through a hard moment.

Step 3

Things to Talk About

Conversation prompts that make space for big feelings without making it feel like a Talk.

Step 4

Bonus Activities

Activities built with educators using a Heart, Mind, and Body framework and intentionally designed to engage different learning styles through movement, creativity, conversation, and play.

And when families want more — more activities, more printables, more of the Fassa world — Planet Fassa is where it lives.
